At Construkt RS, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in the UK. This exciting opportunity offers a competitive salary of £45,000 - £65,000.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing electrical systems for data centre infrastructure, including power distribution, UPS systems, generators, switchgear, and cooling systems. They will also be expected to evaluate the performance of existing electrical systems, identify areas for improvement, and recommend changes to enhance efficiency, capacity, and reliability.

Main Responsibilities
  • Design and Implementation: Develop and implement electrical designs for data centre infrastructure, ensuring compliance with relevant safety and operational standards.
  • System Analysis and Optimization: Evaluate the performance of existing electrical systems and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, capacity, and reliability.
  • Project Management: Oversee electrical installations and upgrades, manage timelines, and coordinate with stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Respond to electrical issues, perform troubleshooting, and develop preventative maintenance schedules to ensure system integrity and reliability.
Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  2. Experience: 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering with a focus on data centres or other mission-critical facilities.
  3. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of power distribution, electrical safety standards, UPS systems, and backup generators. Proficiency in CAD and electrical design software is a plus.
  4. Problem-Solving Ability: Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues under pressure and in high-stakes environments.
