About the Role

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a school in Aldershot. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in promoting positive behaviour and fostering a supportive learning environment for students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers in implementing behaviour management strategies to promote positive behaviour and a supportive learning environment.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group work support to students, helping them with their education and holistic development.
  • Collaborate with the school's SENCO and other professionals to create tailored intervention plans that meet the needs of students.
  • Support the overall well-being of students and contribute to a positive school ethos.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Relevant experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
  • Understanding of behaviour management strategies and their application in a school environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or psychology would be advantageous.
