Vestas is seeking an experienced and skilled Procurement Strategist to join their Melbourne-based construction and transport procurement team.

The Construction and Transport Procurement team is responsible for the strategic sourcing of goods and services for the delivery of wind energy solutions to customers.

Through early engagement with supply chain partners, the team secures the best value engineered solutions for EPC projects.

This role will be part of a growing team working on strategic sourcing across a portfolio of wind projects, from sales engagement to project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the sourcing process, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and competitiveness of the supply base.
  • Drive package negotiations and develop value-adding commercial strategies.
  • Build supply market intelligence and ensure the right supply base is available to support sustainable growth.
  • Identify cost-out and value creation opportunities, complete relevant risk assessments, and implement mitigation strategies.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering, business, law, or finance.
  • 8+ years of experience in procurement, commercial, or project management, preferably in the energy or construction industries.
