Job Opportunity

TPF Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Personal Tax Manager to join their team of professionals. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to take on a challenging role and contribute to the growth and development of the tax department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Management: Manage a portfolio of personal clients with complex tax affairs, focusing on UK individuals, high net worth individuals, and trusts.
  • Tax Planning: Develop and implement tax planning projects, including non-domicile issues, onshore and offshore trusts, and capital gains and inheritance tax issues.
  • Compliance: Review and complete complex tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee the compliance function, ensuring deadlines are met and junior members of staff are supported and developed.
  • HMRC Liaison: Manage HMRC enquiries and correspondence, resolving issues and ensuring compliance.
  • Staff Development: Mentor and support junior members of staff, helping them to develop their technical and personal skills.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Ideally CTA and/or ATT/ACA/ACCA qualified, with a strong background in personal tax.
  • Experience: Developed a personal tax career within an accountancy practice or specialist tax firm, with a mix of compliance and tax planning experience.
