We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Lead to join our team at BYLOR Joint Venture. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for directly leading and managing a team on site to deliver the main civils package of works comprising of large reinforced concrete structures.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Directly lead and manage a team of construction professionals to ensure successful project delivery.
- Quality Assurance: Identify quality problems before works start and instigate change to achieve and deliver quality.
- Project Planning: Sequence work appropriately and apply protection measures to avoid damage to completed works to ensure quality product delivery.
- Client Management: Manage the client through inspection and handover process.
- Documentation: Draft, review, and approve quality documents.
- Continuous Improvement: Adopt a culture of continuous improvement and share lessons learnt across projects.
- Productivity and Cost Management: Monitor productivity and costs trends and take appropriate interventions to ensure successful outcomes.
- Project Completion: Deliver completion strategy for project and contribute to process for ensuring that all works are correctly planned.
- Team Management: Manage direct workforce.
- Technical Skills: Direct delivery experience is essential, with at least 3 years experience of directly putting to work a workforce of at least 80+ operatives in a direct delivery project.
- Industry Experience: Experience of 3 years + working on heavy reinforced concrete structures.
- Construction Industry Knowledge: Ideally at least 5 years experience working in the Construction industry.
- Safety and Quality: Able to deliver projects safely and to the highest quality standards.
- Trade Background: Trade background in carpentry/formwork or reinforcement fixing.
- Reinforcement Details: Sound understanding of reinforcement details and fixing methods.
- Formwork and Falsework Systems: Familiar with formwork and falsework systems commonly used in the construction industry.
- Communication: Strong communicator with the ability to work within a team environment.
- Teamwork: Respects other team members across all functions and has a one team approach.
- Professional Image: Presents a professional image and promotes the values of the project.
- Commitment to Work: Demonstrates commitment to work to processes.
- Resource Management: Seeks to minimise waste in resources and materials.
- Qualifications: Qualifications in Construction Management.
- SMSTS: SMSTS certification.
