Job Title: Financial Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team at NHBC. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial records and reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure NHBC's compliance with UK GAAP and Solvency II reporting
  • Prepare and analyze financial documents, with particular focus on insurance result management accounting
  • Develop and maintain financial models within the Finance department
  • Oversee tax compliance for various taxes including Corporation Tax, VAT, and IPT
  • Manage, support, and develop direct reports, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment
Requirements:
  • Several years of post-qualification experience in finance and tax
  • Experience in tax return preparation (Corporation Tax, VAT)
  • Solvency II experience
  • Analytical mindset with ability to problem solve
  • Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions such as SUMIFS and VLOOKUP
  • Knowledge of UK GAAP reporting
