Exposure Management Support Role

We are seeking a skilled Exposure Management Support professional to join our team at Lorien. The ideal candidate will have experience in catastrophe modelling and a strong working knowledge of third-party catastrophe models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Underwriting teams with modelling analysis for business and risk decision-making.
  • Assist in the analysis of portfolios to manage and optimise underwriting risk limits.
  • Record and model exposure information with high levels of detail and integrity.
  • Produce data for portfolio rollup processes, Group reporting, and external reporting.
  • Conduct post-event exposure and loss potential analysis.
  • Produce required outward reinsurance placing information.
  • Support the Catastrophe Modelling Team with BAU services, including rollups, with a focus on Paris Treaty portfolios.
  • Collaborate with Underwriting teams to deliver a quoting/analytics service that supports all rollups and reporting, as well as bespoke Underwriter analytics.
  • Support exposure management projects and use AIR and RMS to model risks on behalf of Underwriters pre-bind.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g. natural science, business, maths, geography).
  • Strong working knowledge of third-party catastrophe models.
  • Experience in pricing and rolling up portfolios in AIR/RMS.
  • Strong knowledge of Direct and Treaty property insurance concepts.
  • Working knowledge of Energy and Construction insurance concepts is desirable.
  • Working knowledge of Offshore Energy insurance concepts is desirable.
  • Technical coding experience, including SQL and R.
  • Experience of working with offshore business partners.
  • Experience of using and developing solutions via PowerBI is desirable.
