Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This role focuses primarily on CNC turning with some milling tasks, utilizing skills such as creating and modifying CNC programs directly on machines, interpreting engineering drawings, and setting tooling to produce high-quality automotive safety components.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create and modify CNC programs directly on machines for turning operations.
* Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings to ensure precision manufacturing.
* Set up and optimize tooling to maximize efficiency and accuracy.
* Operate and oversee CNC turning machines to produce components to specification.
* Perform occasional milling tasks as required to support production needs.
* Inspect finished components to ensure they meet quality standards.
* Work closely with design and production teams to ensure seamless operations.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Proven experience in CNC programming, particularly with CNC turning operations.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
* Skilled in online programming directly at the CNC machines.
* Experience with tooling setup and optimization.
* Familiarity with CNC milling operations is advantageous.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Compensation and Benefits:
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £40,000 per annum, plus overtime and bonus opportunities. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including access to industry-leading training and development programs.
