Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Communications Specialist to join our team at NHS Somerset Integrated Care Board. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing and implementing communication plans that engage and inform our diverse audiences.

About the Role

As a Healthcare Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating projects across multiple stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners. You will need to have excellent written and verbal skills, as well as experience using content creation software to develop engaging content. Your ability to evaluate campaigns and identify key learnings will also be essential in informing future activity.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies that meet the needs of our target audiences.
  • Evaluate campaign performance and provide insights to inform future activity.
  • Manage and update website content on the NHS Somerset and Our Somerset websites.
  • Develop and manage NHS Somerset's social media accounts, ensuring consistent messaging and brand identity.
  • Support the development of marketing and campaigns aligned with NHS Somerset priorities.

This is a flexible role, requiring a strong team player who can work across various channels, including proactive and reactive media, reputation management, and crisis management.
