About the Role:
Dornan is seeking an experienced Electrical Package Manager to join our team. As an Electrical Package Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the electrical aspects of our projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage reports and studies, including capital cost estimates, project schedules, material takeoffs, and out-to-tender schedules.
- Develop and manage technical and contract documentation for issue and analysis of returned tenders.
- Monitor and control delivery schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Collaborate with the design team to clarify queries through the request for information (RFI) system.
- Track progress against programs and issue progress reports.
- Produce lookahead programs to assist production teams.
- Prepare method statements and risk assessments for production activities.
- Conduct quality control inspections and snagging to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Manage document control, recording, and transmission of information.
- Liaise and coordinate with clients, design teams, and contractors on technical and commercial issues.
- Take responsibility for health and safety on site and lead by example.
- Supervise construction activities, organize workers, plant, machinery, and materials.
- Coordinate with other crafts working on a job site to ensure smooth transitions and identify required materials and equipment.
- Ensure construction is carried out accurately, following plans and specifications.
- Conduct quality control inspections on and off project sites.
- Ensure contractor activities are properly coordinated.
- Ensure tasks are completed on time and to the required quality standards.
- Analyze and resolve work problems that may arise and ensure that all deficiencies on any given project are corrected in a timely manner.
- Ensure handover documentation is presented in a specific format and timeline.
- Maintain detailed and accurate site reports.
- Communicate project progress to key stakeholders, such as clients, architects, and engineers.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in a supervisory role or engineering.
- Data Centre experience is essential.
- Ability to manage subcontractors.
- Technical understanding of electrical systems.
- Proactive people management.
