About Our Organization:

We provide a supportive environment for adults requiring long-term residential care and a rehabilitation unit aimed at enhancing independence following illness or injury. Our facility is designed to offer a nurturing atmosphere with various amenities.

Working in care can be challenging, but at Derbyshire County Council, we prioritize the well-being of our staff and cultivate a supportive and approachable team culture. We offer good transportation links and a collaborative work environment.

Duties Include:

Assist with personal care, household tasks, medication management, and health-related activities Support the social and emotional well-being of individuals Help individuals maintain their independence Keep accurate records and ensure the safeguarding of vulnerable adults Collaborate with colleagues, agencies, individuals with complex needs, and families/carers Uphold confidentiality and adhere to departmental guidelines Perform other tasks as needed

Qualifications:

Previous experience in caregiving Empathy for individuals in vulnerable situations Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to treat others with respect and dignity Follow care plans, document changes, and work both independently and collaboratively Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
