About the Role: We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Ecologist to join our client's in-house environmental team. This full-time, permanent role offers a competitive salary of circa £45,000 and the opportunity to contribute to exciting projects across rail, forestry, and environmental services.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in conducting Ecological Site Surveys, producing Preliminary Ecological Assessments, and assisting in Ecological Impact and Habitat Regulation Assessments. You will also be responsible for leading and assisting in Protected Species Surveys and playing an active role in data analysis, report writing, and designing mitigation measures.

A Protected Species Licence(s) is required for this position, as well as a strong understanding of UK protected species and relevant legislation. Proficiency with GIS or mapping software is also essential. In addition, excellent organisational, analytical, and report-writing skills are required for success in this role.
