Senior Data Librarian

We are seeking an experienced Data Librarian to lead our Research Data team and drive the strategic direction of our research data management service.
This role requires excellent communication skills, management experience, and expertise in data management to collaborate with colleagues across the University and provide expert advice to key stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have experience in team leadership, managing sensitive data, and overseeing the development of technical systems. They will also have a strong understanding of the research environment within Higher Education and developments in the sector relating to research data management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the Research Data team and providing strategic direction for the research data management service
- Collaborating with colleagues across the University to provide expert advice on research data requirements and the Library's support in this area
- Managing sensitive data and overseeing the development of technical systems
This is a rewarding role that provides valued support for researchers and students. We are looking for someone who is credible, confident, and adept, and can respond effectively to academic challenge to provide a highly relevant and trusted service.
