XPS Pensions is seeking an experienced Pension Fund Accountant to join our team in Middlesbrough. As a key member of our Pensions Administration business, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our pension scheme financial statements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare pension scheme Trustee Reports and Accounts, ensuring timely submission and accuracy.
  • Reconcile investment transactions, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Prepare all necessary working papers and reconciliations of financial statements, maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail.
  • Liaise with auditors and investment managers to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Prepare self-assessment tax returns (SA970) and reconcile cash books and pensioner payrolls.
  • Provide expert advice on pensions accounts queries, staying up-to-date with technical and legislative developments in the pensions accounts industry.
  • Ensure company policies and working procedures are implemented and adhered to, maintaining a culture of excellence and compliance.
Requirements:
  • A proven accounting background, gained within an accounting practice or a third-party pensions provider.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
