Data Insights Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Insights Manager to join our team at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Directorate of Education and Training, you will play a crucial role in delivering insight into our education and training activities, and leading the preparation of statutory student returns via our validating partner institution.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of regulatory reporting to our University Partners/Office for Students (OfS), such as HESA and HESES. You will also line-manage the Statutory Returns, Planning & Insight team, and specify requirements, manage and build a suite of validation and exception reports using SQL and Power BI.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective data quality strategies to ensure optimal data quality at key points during the academic year.
- Collaborate with the Director of Education (Operations), Head of Academic Registry, and Finance Manager to communicate change requirements and develop training and workshops.
- Lead the work of the Division in delivering insight into education and training activities, and prepare statutory student returns via our validating partner institution.
- Degree or equivalent experience, ideally in a numerate subject.
- Additional specialist knowledge acquired through training and relevant experience equating to postgraduate level.
- Experience of working to improve data quality for statutory returns, particularly for HESA.
- Knowledge and experience of using effective dashboard design for business intelligence practice in conjunction with a data warehouse.
- Experience of student records and SITS.
- Experience of training other staff, ideally in the importance of data quality.
