Job Opportunity: Teaching Assistant in Year 3

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our Year 3 class at Richardson Dees Primary School. As a key member of our teaching team, you will provide in-class support to the class teacher and work with intervention groups or individual pupils.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with teaching staff on lesson planning, evaluation, and adjustment of work programmes and intervention strategies.
  • Monitor and evaluate pupil responses to learning activities, observing and recording achievement against learning objectives.
  • Keep accurate records and update systems as required.
  • Support the preparation of resources for teachers and the setup of the classroom.
  • Promote positive values, attitudes to learning, and good pupil behaviour.
  • Liaise with parents and carers as necessary.
  • Undertake break and lunch duties.
  • Provide first aid support within the school.
Requirements:
  • Relevant Teaching Assistant Qualification.
  • Experience working with pupils in a primary setting.
  • Clear understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities.
  • Highly organized, with strong numeracy and literacy skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to different classroom settings.
