Job Summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a skilled Healthcare Support Worker to join our team in QEUH, Older Peoples & Stroke Services, Acute Assessment Ward 54.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist trained nursing staff in delivering patient care procedures and provide basic nursing care to patients.
  • Support patients with activities of daily living and assist the Registered Nurse and other members of the Clinical Team to deliver patient care.
  • Cooperate with other disciplines to maximize patient care and maintain good relationships.
  • Have an empathic approach to clients' carers and relatives, referring them to a trained nurse for any questions or concerns.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a busy environment.
  • Previous hospital experience in an acute setting is preferred but not essential.
