Salary: £35,000 to £45,000, plus company car, laptop, mobile, benefits, full product training & pension

Hours: 39 Day shift

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced CNC Field Service Engineer to cover mechanical and electrical work at customer premises across the UK. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background in Fanuc and Heidenhain Control Systems and be prepared to stay overnight if required.

Day to Day Duties:

  1. General servicing and maintenance of CNC machining centres and lathes
  2. Planned maintenance and breakdown services
  3. Fault finding and repairs
  4. Installations and commissioning of new equipment

Equipment Worked On:

  1. Vertical Borers
  2. Vertical/Horizontal Lathes
  3. 5 Axis machines
  4. Toshiba / Shibaura, Takumi, Gruppo Parpas, FAT Haco - to name but a few

Required Experience:

  1. Hydraulic and Pneumatic system fault-finding and repair
  2. Machinery decommissioning and recommissioning
  3. Full re-alignments of CNC machining centres and CNC lathes
  4. Setting up Grid Shift and Backlash Parameters
  5. Installation and replacement of Ball Screws
  6. Replacement of Spindles and Dresser Bearings
  7. General Mechanical repairs and annual service work
