Senior Environmental Manager Role

RPS Group is seeking a highly experienced Senior Environmental Manager to join its Environment & Infrastructure Team. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading on the management and delivery of key environmental projects across the UK, helping clients manage and obtain environmental consents for national infrastructure schemes and renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will facilitate the integration of consents and consenting activities into project delivery, across design, assessment, and construction. They will work closely with clients and attend meetings and workshops, providing advice to manage consent applications or compliance. The candidate will also work with various environmental teams, managing delivery programmes and schedules, and take responsibility as a project manager or director for environmental teams' delivery on projects.

Requirements

To fit in with our team, the ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of environmental requirements during major development and infrastructure projects in the UK. A degree (or equivalent) in an environmental or related subject is essential, with an MSc or further professional qualifications being helpful but not essential. The role would suit someone who has led on environmental aspects of development projects and worked in the construction sector, particularly post-planning consent and during detail design and construction stages of projects.
