Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Scientist to join our team at Harnham. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be working closely with experienced Data Scientists and Data Engineers to deliver impactful models for Security purposes. Your primary responsibility will be deploying data science projects straight onto the market.

You will have the opportunity to build machine learning algorithms and models to create new data products and services using Python. Additionally, you will code and test new algorithms for prototype and production applications using popular libraries such as TensorFlow and Keras.

Your role will also involve translating complex data into meaningful insights using Python. You will take the lead in interacting with customers and stakeholders to showcase project outcomes.

In this position, you will enhance the functionality and performance of our machine learning engine, models, and systems. You will apply machine learning methods to interpret and analyze data, ensuring continuous adaptation and evolution of our models.

Furthermore, you will collaborate closely with clients in the defence, intelligence, and security sectors, taking a lead role in managing customer relationships and delivering products.

To succeed in this role, you will work in partnership with the technical team, including data scientists and ML engineers, to integrate client requirements into the overall product.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background, preferably a MSc or PhD level in a STEM subject. You will have proven knowledge in implementing machine learning techniques and hold UK Security clearance (SC or Developed Vetting).

Apart from your technical expertise, you will have commercial experience with Python, and proficient knowledge of R and Scala. You should have previous exposure to tools like Keras, TensorFlow, and Python.
