Job Title: Project Systems Leader - Systems Team Lead

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Systems Leader to join our Flight Systems Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of Flight Systems engineering data to meet project requirements, ensuring alignment with agreed standards and procedures while maintaining quality, cost, and schedule adherence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with various engineering and project teams to develop effective engineering solutions.
  • Plan, execute, and guide engineering tasks based on the project lifecycle phase, which may include requirements development, system and equipment design, modelling, system integration, qualification, certification, and testing.
  • Review and approve specifications, reports, and proposals to ensure technical accuracy and that task objectives are met.
  • Drive the development of new systems by implementing best practice systems lifecycle processes.
  • Provide overall team leadership, including task management and prioritization, performance management, staff development, cost control, and ensuring technical quality.

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant STEM field (e.g., Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Maths, or Science).
  • Strong knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle and the ability to apply effective systems engineering practices.
  • Extensive experience in Mechanical, Electrical, or Fluid Systems Engineering, ideally within an aerospace application.
  • Proven ability to apply prior experience to guide, support, and lead others.
  • Ability to research system design data and solve complex engineering problems.
