Expert Corporate Secretary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Corporate Secretary to join our team at Oakwood Corporate Services. As a key member of our advisory team, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality company secretarial services to our clients.
The benefits of this role include:
- A competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
As a Corporate Secretary with Oakwood Corporate Services, your primary responsibility will be to provide expert advice and guidance to our clients on all aspects of company law and secretarial practices. This will involve:
- Providing outsourced company secretarial advice and services to designated client portfolios.
- Developing specialist knowledge of compliance with the Companies Act 2006 and other relevant legislation and regulation.
- Drafting high-quality legal and company secretarial documents.
- Managing specific projects for clients, such as company eliminations, reconstitution of statutory books and registers, compliance reviews/audits.
- Contributing to transactional support projects, working with top-tier law firms on major M&A transactions, IPOs, etc.
You will also be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients and intermediary law firms, demonstrating the highest standards of client care. Additionally, you will assist the directors with business development activities and contribute to the development of new products/services and office systems and procedures.
A more senior role would involve taking a lead role in much of the above and supervision and training of junior advisors and administrators.
Key skills and qualifications required for this role include:
- First-class academic, technical and administrative skills.
- Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach to all tasks.
- Positive, can-do, friendly attitude and flexible approach.
