Credit Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Controller to join our team at Frasers Group. As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing customer accounts, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Communication: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, resolving any issues related to overdue invoices and ensuring timely payments.
- Account Record Keeping: Accurately record all actions taken and customer responses on account records, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up.
- Payment Processing: Process daily BACS payments and cheque payments weekly, ensuring all transactions are handled promptly and accurately.
- Monthly Statements: Oversee the monthly statement run and respond to customer emails and queries related to their statements.
- Cash Flow Reporting: Update the cash flow report daily with current figures to provide accurate financial forecasting.
- Payment Entry: Enter all transfer and credit card payments into the system, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile customer accounts to ensure statements are accurate and all cash and credit notes are correctly posted and allocated.
- Department Liaison: Collaborate with the sales department to address and resolve any queries or disputes regarding customer accounts.
- Credit Control Email Management: Oversee and manage all credit control email inboxes, ensuring daily queries are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
- Problem Account Identification: Identify potential problem accounts and work closely with the finance manager to record and log these accounts for further review. Coordinate with debt management collection services if required.
- Customer Account Setup: Set up new customer accounts, including conducting credit checks to assess financial stability.
- Account Holds: Place customer accounts on hold when invoices are overdue by more than 90 days, ensuring compliance with the company's credit control policies.
Requirements:
- Attention to detail: Process customers' financial details accurately.
- Organisation and prioritisation: Manage multiple tasks, demonstrating organisation and prioritisation.
- Customer service experience: Previous experience in a customer service role and strong verbal and written communication.
