We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tax Advisor to join our Personal Tax department at Puro Accountancy. Key Responsibilities- Prepare and File Tax Returns: Prepare and file personal income tax returns for a diverse client base, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Review Financial Records: Review financial records such as income statements, expense documents, and previous tax returns to determine the correct tax filing.
- Advise on Tax Planning: Advise clients on tax planning and tax-saving strategies, identifying opportunities to optimise tax positions and mitigate tax liabilities.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Tax Laws: Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide expert advice to clients.
- Communicate with Clients: Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and clarify complex tax issues, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Represent Clients: Represent clients in dealings with tax authorities, including audits and inquiries, ensuring the best possible outcome for our clients.
- Maintain Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality and security of all financial data and client information, adhering to all relevant data protection regulations.
- Collaborate with Team Members: Collaborate with other team members and departments to provide comprehensive financial solutions, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
- Mentor Junior Team Member: Mentor a junior team member within the Personal Tax department, providing guidance and support to help them grow and develop in their role.
- Professional Qualifications: ATT/CTA qualified or QBE.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience working in a UK accountancy practice in personal tax advisory and preparation.
- Knowledge of Tax Laws: Strong knowledge of UK tax laws and international tax considerations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with tax preparation software and financial analysis tools.
- Soft Skills: Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, strong communication and client management skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines and tasks.
