Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team at Omega Leeds. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for servicing, adjusting, and repairing process and production machinery and equipment using the necessary tools in a safe and proper manner.



The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrical Engineering or similar manufacturing experience. You will be responsible for examining machinery and equipment, reporting on condition, performance, and planning improvements. You will also carry out planned and preventative maintenance to agreed schedules.



A competent electrical engineering professional with technical experience is required. You must be able to solve problems, have PLC/automation experience ideally, and produce safe systems of work. You should be capable of contributing to the development, manufacture, commissioning, decommissioning, operation, or maintenance of products, equipment, processes, or services.



This is an all-round hands-on maintenance electrical role as well as conveyors and processing end-of-line packing. Extensive planned maintenance tasks and organisation of the engineering plant is also essential.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Service, adjust, and repair process and production machinery and equipment
  • Examine machinery and equipment and report on condition, performance, and plan of action for improvements
  • Carry out planned and preventative maintenance to agreed schedules


Requirements:


  • Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrical Engineering or similar manufacturing experience
  • PLC/automation experience ideally
  • Ability to solve problems and produce safe systems of work
