Job Title: Estimator (Permanent)

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team at Jark PLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing bids from receipt of the enquiry to submission of quotations, as well as providing support to site teams and contributing to the development of win strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Book incoming enquiries into the quotation database and provide timely service to customers.
  2. Presentation of quotations in line with the company image, utilising standard templates.
  3. Understand contract terms and conditions to ensure risks are identified and qualified.
  4. Support business development managers in pre-post tender client meetings.
  5. Cost effective evaluations of projects and obtain a practical solution to manufacturing.
  6. Organise Launch and contract review meetings.
  7. Compile sub-contractor and specialist materials enquiries as required.
  8. Ensure estimates are compiled on in-house bespoke computerised estimating system.
  9. Contribute to Research and Development as requested.
  10. Use I.T skills to develop and contribute to systems within the Estimating Department as required.
  11. Take ownership of the sub-contractor database and maintain on behalf of the Department.
  12. Attend post-tender meetings with clients as required.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
  1. Issue Won/Lost report.
  2. Win work at GM as per business plan to meet company targets.
  3. Provide Ongoing Support to site teams relating to estimates and key assumptions.
  4. Develop win strategy with the bid manager to exceed a ratio of 1:4.
Specific Key Objectives for 2024:

Provide full turnkey quotations (excluding M&E) by July 1st, provision of modular costings by May 1st, procure 5 consistent subcontractors by 30th October, develop client relationship in order to gain repeated business, and job win rate 2% above company targets.

Experience and Knowledge:
  1. 7 plus years post graduations.
  2. Experience of building and construction.
  3. Understanding cost base risk analysis.
