Job Title: Electrical Apprentice Team Leader

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Apprentice Team Leader to join our team at JBS Global Resourcing. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading electrical engineering projects and ensuring the delivery of high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead electrical engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Develop and implement electrical engineering strategies to optimize resource utilization and power plant availability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and technical performance standards.
  • Manage and coordinate electrical maintenance activities, including risk management and contractor quality assurance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including asset operations, asset management, and OEMs.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in electrical engineering, including generators, motors, transformers, switchgear, and HV distribution systems.
  • Sound understanding of power plant operations, current regulations, and policies affecting power plant engineering assets.
  • Contract management skills and experience to challenge contractors on methods, quality, and standards of work.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills, including effective prioritization and resource management.
  • Good working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation and standards to NEBOSH or equivalent.
  • Educated to a Higher National Diploma or Degree level in an Engineering discipline, supported by a sound technical knowledge of engineering and maintenance practices gained through experience.
