Job Title: AWS Platform Engineer

About the Role:

Foster + Partners is a global studio for architecture, engineering, urban, and landscape design, rooted in sustainability. We are seeking an experienced AWS Platform Engineer to play a critical role in enabling our cloud transformation by implementing and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) and automate deployment processes for applications and infrastructure.
  • Ensure security best practices are applied across cloud deployments, including IAM, encryption, and compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure, services, and applications for performance, security, and availability, and respond to incidents or outages as required.
  • Collaborate with developers across the practice, providing expert infrastructure and DevOps support.
  • Demonstrate in-depth experience of key DevOps skills, including use of Git, CI/CD platforms, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure/AWS, PaaS/Serverless cloud resources, Linux, and Bash scripting.
  • Contribute to advancing adoption of DevOps culture through educating and supporting teams across the company.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Cloud/DevOps Engineer deploying and managing IaaS and PaaS cloud infrastructure.
  • Azure Certifications (1 or more): AZ-305 Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AZ-400 DevOps Engineer Expert.
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and governance.
  • Proficient skills in HTML, Markdown, PowerShell, and Bash.
