Job Title: Humanities Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Humanities Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Secondary school in Greenwich, London. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning journey of students and contributing to a child-led approach to education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist classroom teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students, fostering their academic and personal growth, and helping them overcome challenges.
  • Contribute to classroom management and ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes social and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with teachers to assess student progress and provide constructive feedback that informs instruction.
Requirements:
  • A strong background in Geography, with a degree in Humanities or a related field.
  • A minimum of 6 months of experience as a Teaching Assistant in a UK-based educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to supporting the learning journey of students.
