Design Accelerators: Round Three

NERC is seeking applications for the Design Accelerators programme, a funding opportunity aimed at supporting design-led solutions to address the climate crisis and net zero goals.
Key Highlights- Funding of up to £500,000 available for projects that engage with local communities, public, and third sector organisations.
- Eligible applicants must be based at a UK research organisation eligible for Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) funding.
- Design Accelerators connect directly with the wider Future Observatory: Design the Green Transition Programme.
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be based at a UK research organisation eligible for AHRC funding.
- Have a project team consisting of individuals from the same independent research organisation.
- Not exceed a total of 0.6 FTE in project team members.
Applicants must:
- Undertake design-led solutions to address the climate crisis or net zero goals.
- Engage with local communities, public, and third sector organisations.
- Have a clear and robust handover and communication arrangement in place.
