Mathematics Lecturer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mathematics Lecturer to join our team at Barking & Dagenham College. As a Mathematics Lecturer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students, ensuring they achieve their full potential.

• Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons, including the development of schemes of work
• Develop and implement learner-centred assessment methods, with a focus on constructive and developmental feedback
• Monitor and report on student attendance, progress, and achievements
• Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for students and colleagues
• Provide pastoral support and guidance to students, promoting their personal and academic development
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments in mathematics, ensuring the relevance and employability of our students
• Participate in ongoing professional development, enhancing teaching and learning practices

• Hold a teaching qualification and experience of teaching in the Further or Higher Education sectors
• OR have a Level 3 qualification in mathematics and be willing to undertake a Further Education teaching qualification with our support
