Microelectronics Technician

We are recruiting for a skilled General Operative (Microelectronics) to join our team in Bolton for an initial 12-month contract.

The hourly rate for this position is £23.91ph, increasing to £25.26ph after 12 weeks. Overtime hours are paid at the normal hourly rate plus 50%. The contract duration is 12 months, initially, and then ongoing and long-term thereafter.

This role requires experience with microelectronics, specifically soldering under a microscope. You will also need experience working within a manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out manufacturing and self-certification tasks within the deployed business, adhering to product certification procedures, defined workmanship standards, and timescales to meet project objectives.

IPC 610 certified/trained is preferred. The ideal candidate should possess dexterity for fine work, ability to read and interpret layouts, follow instructions, and work flexible shift patterns.

Attention to detail, ability to work independently with minimal supervision, flexibility, ESD training, and PC literacy are also essential skills for this role.
