UKMC Job Description

About the Role

The UK Management College is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the college operates within legal and regulatory frameworks, upholding ethical standards, and adhering to internal policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Policy Development and Implementation:

  • Develop, Review, and Update Policies: Develop, review, and update college policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with Department Heads: Collaborate with department heads and stakeholders to communicate policies effectively and ensure understanding and adherence.

Compliance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Monitor and Evaluate College Activities: Monitor and evaluate college activities to identify areas of potential non-compliance.
  • Conduct Regular Audits: Conduct regular audits and assessments to assess the effectiveness of compliance initiatives.
  • Prepare and Submit Reports: Prepare and submit reports to senior management, regulatory agencies, and accrediting bodies as required.

Training and Education:

  • Develop and Deliver Compliance Training: Develop and deliver compliance training programs for college staff, faculty, and students.
  • Provide Guidance and Support: Provide guidance and support to departments on compliance-related matters, including interpreting regulations and resolving compliance issues.

Investigations and Remediation:

  • Investigate Reports of Non-Compliance: Investigate reports of potential compliance violations and implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Collaborate on Remediation Plans: Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop and implement remediation plans to address compliance deficiencies.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., law, business, public administration). Advanced degree or certification (e.g., Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional) preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in compliance, risk management, or related field, preferably in a higher education or regulatory environment.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations, excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, and high level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
