About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Learning Support Practitioner to join our team at Cardiff and Vale College. The successful candidate will have a strong passion for supporting learners with additional learning needs, learning difficulties, and disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centred support to learners, fostering independence and resilience.
  • Contribute to annual person-centred reviews, including Individual Development Plans.
  • Act as a role model, champion, and advocate for learners with ALN or LDD.
  • Work collaboratively with staff and professionals to promote learner independence.
  • Support access arrangements and reasonable adjustments.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have 5 GCSEs at grade A-C, including Maths and English, or equivalent. Relevant experience in education or care settings is desirable.
