Job Title: Damp Surveyor

We are seeking a skilled Damp Surveyor to join our team at Avant Garde Damp Solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting surveys at residential properties throughout London, identifying and diagnosing damp and timber issues, and providing specifications for repair.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct surveys at residential properties to identify damp and timber issues
  • Diagnose the cause of damp and timber problems
  • Provide specifications for repair and remedial works
  • Liaise with the director and surveying team as needed
  • Attend to a list of appointments each day, requiring city driving skills
Requirements:
  • CSRT qualification from The Property Care Association (PCA) required
  • CSSW qualification from The Property Care Association (PCA) desirable but not essential
  • Previous industry experience desirable but not essential
  • Excellent defect diagnosis experience and all-round building pathology/construction knowledge desirable
  • Knowledge regarding relevant legal requirements (such as Party Wall legislation and Construction, Design and Management Regulations) desirable
  • Experience in restoration projects desirable
  • Possess strong Health and Safety understanding, including knowledge of property-related regulations and laws
  • Enthusiasm to expand your knowledge of damp proofing while also learning our methodology of surveying
