About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Practitioner Psychologist to lead the psychological therapies provision into our Adult Acute Inpatient Services. The post holder will report to the Head of Psychology and form part of the leadership team within the psychological therapies department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct psychological input to some of the wards.
  • Consult and work closely with ward teams to foster trauma-informed approaches to care.
  • Supervise an Assistant Psychologist and oversee the delivery of their therapeutic work.
  • Develop and implement innovative practice, working with complexity, and working in teams.

Requirements

  • Specialist knowledge and relevant post-qualification clinical experience of working with individuals with a range of mental health difficulties.
  • Previous experience of providing supervision and involvement in service development.
  • Effective leadership skills, including self-motivation, effective communication, and the ability to support and motivate others.
