Job Title: Maritime Engineer

This position offers an exciting opportunity for a professional and experienced Chief Engineer to join our team at Serco Limited in Kyle of Lochalsh. The role involves ensuring the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of all propulsion, auxiliary, and deck machinery on board.

The successful candidate will have a Certificate of Competence as Chief Engineer (3000kW) as a minimum, along with relevant STCW certifications. We are looking for someone who is methodical in their approach, familiar with company/industry specific systems, and has excellent communication skills.

• Ensure the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of all propulsion, auxiliary, and deck machinery
• Consult with the Master and vessel crew to achieve maximum economy consistent with minimum efficiency required
• Maintain vessel administration and upkeep of Classification Society Survey requirements
• Be fully conversant with safety equipment and emergency procedures

• Salary: Competitive salaries with annual reviews (£50,000 - £70,000 per annum)
