Job Title: Autism Specialist Therapist

Location: Wolverhampton, West Midlands

We are seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Social Care and Education Jobs. This is a part-time opportunity, working 20 hours per week (2.5 days a week) during term time only.

The successful candidate will have a professional degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent, with at least 2 years of postgraduate experience as a Speech & Language Therapist. Experience working with children and young people with learning disabilities, ASC, and additional needs is essential.

The estimated salary for this role is £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description:

  • Conduct assessments to identify speech, language, and communication needs of students.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy programs to support students' learning and communication goals.
  • Work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals to ensure the integration of therapy goals into the classroom.
  • Provide training and resources for staff to support the development of students' communication skills.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Professional degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience working with children and young people with learning disabilities, ASC, and additional needs.
