As an Employment Solicitor, you will have the opportunity to work with a broad client base, national and international clients across public, private and third sectors. You will be handling a mix of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters, working primarily supporting Employer clients.

You will be working collaboratively with ranked and award-winning departments within the firm, surrounded by specialist professionals, also recognised for their high-quality services provided. Responsibilities:

  • Providing expert advice and guidance to clients on a wide range of employment law issues.
  • Conducting negotiations, mediations and settlement discussions on behalf of clients.
  • Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Advising on disciplinary and grievance matters, redundancy procedures and employment dismissals.
  • Staying up-to-date with changes in employment legislation and proactively advising clients on the implications for their business.

Requirements:

  • Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 2 years' PQE in employment law.
  • Experience in handling both contentious and non-contentious employment law matters.
  • Solid understanding of UK employment legislation case law, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide commercially-focused advice to clients.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally.
  • Competent IT skills.
