Job Title: Global Procurement Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Global Procurement Manager to join our team at GlaxoSmithKline. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sourcing strategies to maximize value, innovation, and growth across our global supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Manage Strategic Sourcing Strategies: You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sourcing strategies to maximize value, innovation, and growth across our global supply chain.
- Lead Suppliers and Contract Negotiations: You will lead suppliers and contract negotiations to ensure that we get the best possible deals for our business.
- Deliver Procurement Strategy: You will be responsible for delivering procurement strategy across our portfolio, ensuring that we meet our business objectives.
- Create and Implement Procurement Initiatives: You will create and implement procurement initiatives to improve quality of service and supply, and produce significant cost savings across business units or supply networks.
- Partner with Key Stakeholders: You will partner with key stakeholders across our global supply chain to understand business requirements and deliver relevant strategic procurement solutions.
- Lead Supplier Relationship Management: You will lead supplier relationship management to enable additional value creation.
- Ensure Suppliers Deliver Best Value: You will ensure that suppliers deliver best value by actively benchmarking and negotiating contracts.
- Support Sustainability Initiatives: You will support sustainability initiatives to meet our business goals.
- Proactively Seek Opportunities: You will proactively seek opportunities to bring diverse suppliers to our network.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree: You will need a Bachelor's degree in a preferred discipline of Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field.
- Proven Experience: You will need proven experience in global logistics management roles with a focus on global transportation, warehousing, and customs brokerage.
- Category Management: You will need category management and strategic sourcing knowledge and experience.
- Previous Experience: You will need previous experience in supporting category strategies development and execution.
- Negotiation Skills: You will need negotiation skills necessary for complex negotiations across our markets.
- Project Management: You will need experience in managing the delivery of global scale projects and change management.

- Project Management Skills: You will need the ability to prioritize multiple tasks applying project management skills.
- Technical Expertise: You will need proven ability to provide effective procurement management in complex organisations using technical expertise and analytical skills.
