About the Role

Fully integrated into the DNA of Marks and Spencer, our Finance team plays a fundamental role in driving business decisions, shaping budgets, analysing sales, managing costs and ensuring accurate statistics and data.

Within the Salford Quays Finance Service Centre, we are moving beyond a shared service centre; we play a critical part in the M&S One Finance Team and are heading towards our ambition to become a centre of excellence - there's never been a better time to be part of our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team in delivering high-quality work related to cash loss reporting, providing accurate reports to stores, regional teams, and the Accuracy & Loss department.
  • Support these groups in investigating and resolving cash-related issues.
  • Develop different ways of working with the team on upcoming finance transformations ensuring activity is aligned with new processes.
  • Work with finance systems colleagues to ensure Revenue to Cash systems are working as they should and resolve issues with the team quickly.
  • Have a strong control mentality and ability to demonstrate a continuous improvement approach, and happy to challenge day to day activities to aid the transformation of the business.

Requirements

  • Experience previously managing a team, with the ability to adapt and effectively lead the team and store colleagues (remotely) through change.
  • Good understanding of cash processes and ability to quickly pick up where data is not accurate, interrogating systems and store cash activity to resolve.
  • Good knowledge of Excel and Power BI.
