Residential Support Worker Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Residential Support Worker to join our team at Sodexo Group. This role offers the perfect opportunity for someone who wants to work in a residential care setting, supporting adults with complex needs.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality support to residents, promoting their independence and well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a residential care setting, a strong understanding of behavior management, and excellent communication skills.

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum depending on experience, plus a £1 bonus per hour worked x4 months per year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 support to residents with complex needs, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Assist residents with daily living tasks, such as personal care and medication management.
  • Support residents in developing life skills, such as cooking and cleaning.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications and experience in residential care or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of behavior management principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends.
  • Valid SIA license.
