**Job Description:

The successful candidate will undertake detailed electrical building services designs and drawings for new build projects, covering lighting, general power, switchgear, IT, schematics, schedules, calculations, floor plans, and associated specifications. They will also support the mechanical engineering team lead in delivering large multi-disciplinary projects.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Undertaking MEP deputy project manager role (may also include project manager role) for small, medium, and large MEP or multi-disciplinary projects
  • Gathering and correlating basic engineering data using established procedures
  • Developing and undertaking mechanical design activities across multiple project sectors
  • Proposing solutions to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments
  • Identifying discrepancies in results
  • Providing guidance and support to entry-level engineers

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive experience in mechanical building services design across various market sectors
  • Experience of seeing conceptual designs through to completion and dealing directly with clients
  • Work experience within a similar consultancy or other relevant business
  • Relevant experience in Mechanical Engineering design, including areas such as specification writing, calculations, and developing designs from first principles

Desired qualifications include a degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering and Chartered or working towards accreditation.
