**Job Overview**

Clearpath Recruitment is seeking a skilled Mechanical and Electrical Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for producing accurate cost estimates for a range of M&E projects across various sectors, including commercial, residential, and industrial.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced M&E Estimator to work closely with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to ensure competitive, profitable, and precise tenders. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of M&E systems, with a background in M&E installations within the construction industry.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and project documents to produce accurate estimates.
- Prepare detailed cost breakdowns for mechanical and/or electrical services, including labour, materials, and equipment.
- Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors for the best pricing.
- Prepare tender submissions and ensure deadlines are met.
- Assess project risks and propose cost-saving solutions.
- Work closely with the design and project teams to ensure that estimates align with project specifications and requirements.
- Maintain and update cost databases to reflect current market trends and prices.

**Requirements**

- Intermediate Level: 2+ years' experience in M&E estimating, with a solid understanding of M&E systems.
- Senior Level: 5+ years of experience, with the ability to lead the estimating function on complex projects.
- Background in M&E installations within the construction industry.
- Proficient in estimating software and strong Excel skills.
- Knowledge of industry-standard contracts and tender processes.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and project teams.
