Senior Cost Manager Job Description

Turner & Townsend is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Manager to join our growing Healthcare team in Manchester. Our team is expanding nationwide, delivering significant projects and programmes, including the International Children's Eye Centre at Moorfields and the Alder Hey in the Park Children's Hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver end-to-end cost management services on major healthcare projects and programmes.
  • Utilize our bespoke digital tools to optimize cost performance and collaborate with design teams, sector specialists, and main contractors.
  • Analyze and test budgets using our Benchmarking app and CostX to improve collaboration and highlight design changes.
  • Inform clients on future cost trends using our Market Rates App and advise on procurement and contract strategies.
  • Deliver procurement strategies using our eTender platform and manage post-contract cost variances, change control, and valuations.
  • Present monthly post-contract cost control reports to clients.

Requirements:

  • BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar.
  • Demonstrable experience in cost management services in healthcare or life sciences.
  • Full membership or working towards RICS, ACostE, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Practical knowledge of NEC forms of contract beneficial.
