We're seeking a talented Full Stack Developer to join our team at the Educational Equality Institute. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our platform's real-time collaboration features.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in TypeScript, React, and Node.js, with experience in developing real-time communication and collaboration tools. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing high-quality features that enable seamless collaboration among users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain real-time collaboration features, including team account management, co-editing, commenting, and sharing.
  • Contribute to large cross-functional projects, both frontend and backend, that have a significant impact on the business.
  • Assist the support team in resolving production issues and improve engineering standards by enhancing tooling and processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of professional development experience with a focus on TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
  • Recent experience with WebSocket or Socket.IO for real-time collaboration tools, with CRDT or Yjs being a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in unit, integration, and E2E testing.
  • Familiarity with ORM tools and raw SQL.
  • Knowledge of AWS and static hosting platforms like Vercel.
  • Understanding of Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery processes.
