We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Director - Java and Cloud Expert to lead our core squads in Edinburgh. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality software solutions using cutting-edge technologies.

The company has a strong focus on innovation, collaboration, and professional development. Our custom-built offices in central Edinburgh provide a unique working environment with pool tables, games consoles, and a gym.

  1. A competitive salary from £90,000 to £115,000 per annum, depending on ability and experience.
  2. Flexible working arrangements, including hybrid policy of one day in office per week.
  3. Robust benefits package including bonuses and uncapped holidays.

In this role, you will oversee Agile squads (roughly 35 Engineers), each responsible for business-critical products. You will champion best practices, ensuring all teams deliver software to the highest possible level. The ideal candidate should have strong programming skills; ideally with Java, software architecture expertise, cloud services knowledge (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and proven experience in a similar role.
