Birmingham, Birmingham, United Kingdom AUTISM WEST MIDLANDS Full time

AUTISM WEST MIDLANDS is a leading charity dedicated to supporting autistic adults, children, and families in the West Midlands. Our mission is to enrich the lives of autistic people and those who care for them.

The Senior Autism Specialist Key Worker role involves working as part of a small team to deliver a dynamic service for autistic adults at risk of admission to inpatient services or requiring additional support to facilitate quicker discharge.

As a key member of our team, you will provide coordination and direct support to autistic adults with mental health needs, using intensive, direct interventions to prevent avoidable admissions to inpatient services.

The role requires strong leadership skills, with responsibilities including supervising a team of Key Workers, representing and leading the Key Worker service, and developing systems and processes to collect data and form reports.

We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong understanding of autism and mental health challenges, as well as experience of working with autistic adults with complex needs. You will need excellent interpersonal skills, a relevant qualification, and the ability to influence others and advocate on behalf of the service and the person being supported.

We offer a competitive salary of £34,000 per annum, a supportive management team, and a range of benefits, including a free DBS check, Bupa Healthcare cash back scheme, and employee assistance scheme.
