We are seeking an experienced Senior Health and Safety Professional to join our team at Randstad Construction & Property. As a key member of our Pre-Construction & Supply Chain Development & Performance senior management team, you will be responsible for championing the health and safety function and supporting the development of the health and safety supply chain.
Key Responsibilities- Manage resources proactively to ensure the best health and safety advisory service can be deployed for the business areas of responsibility.
- Build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders to influence across boundaries and inform policy making both regionally and nationally.
- Participate in the Pre-Construction & Supply Chain Development & Performance senior management team to champion the health and safety function and support the development of the health and safety supply chain.
- Measure success through positive engagement scores and a recognisable improvement in health and safety performance with all stakeholders.
- Hold a degree or NEBOSH Diploma in Health and Safety and membership of a recognised engineering or safety professional body, e.g. CMIOSH.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive CDM2015 duty understanding and experience of delivery and clear understanding of the client responsibilities.
- Have demonstrable knowledge and understanding of:
- Construction site management
- Commercial aspects and contract support
- Procurement process & delivery
- Lean application within safety
- Delivering collaborative development principles in supply chains.
- Stakeholder engagement & inclusion.
- Strategic planning & development
- Be well organised, diplomatic, proactive, assertive and well-disciplined.
- Have excellent customer service, communication and client/external interface skills.
- Have excellent communication and presentation skills both written and verbal.
- Have a track record of working with teams and managing projects by prioritising workloads and delivering to deadlines.
- Competitive salary up to £50,000 dependent upon experience.
