Job Role: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated teaching assistant to join our team. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with experienced and supportive colleagues to enable a learning experience that gives children every opportunity to achieve their individual potential. You will be a team player happy to work with KS2 children, with experience of working with this age group being beneficial.

Responsibilities include:
  • Undertake appropriate planning and preparation of lessons for individuals, groups, and whole classes
  • Deliver agreed lessons and learning experiences to individuals, groups, and whole classes as required
  • Assess the development, progress, and attainment of pupils
  • Report on the development, progress, and attainment of pupils to the responsible teacher as appropriate

Requirements:
  • Minimum qualification of NVQ Level 3 in Child Care or equivalent
  • Relevant First Aid qualification or willingness to undertake First Aid at Work training
  • Good subject knowledge and understanding of KS2 and supporting children with SEND needs or who are disadvantaged
  • Effective communication skills and flexibility
